The Real End to Calvin & Hobbes

I found this on my friend Billy Ballard's blog, and had to appropriate it. A fan-made more realistic, and heart-wrenchingly sad alternate ending to the Calvin & Hobbes strip.

  • You could easilly scale up the sadness and kill all the nostalgic childhood bits of Calvin and Hobbes. You know how they had a final Sunday strip for Calvin and Hobbes? Well, if I were to do that, and make it thematically like this, I'd have Calvin throw all his childish things away, like his wagon, his Supendous Man costume et cetra and put it in his box that he used for all his adventures.

That said, your buddy's strip is pretty damn sad. I wonder what pills his parents put him on. I'm guessing female hormones.

But no, I just stole it from my friend's blog, I'm pretty sure he didn't do it.

  • I think that more parents should dope their boys up on estrogen, just to see the effects.

  • I know exactly what pills they were. They were
ADHD/ADD pills, because Calvin won't pay attention to anything and he is always so hyperactive.

  • This happened to my son yesterday. Only it came with twenty minutes of tears because he could no longer talk to his "invisible brother." I loved Arko, too. We're going to miss him.
